FOR A SENIOR DOG WHO SUFFERED A BAD LIMP DUE TO OLD AGE, MR. MOTU NOW RUNS AROUND VOSD LIKE A PUPPY!

Having lived in the same locality for nearly 13 years, survival got so difficult for Mr. Motu when younger and fitter stray dogs began attacking him due to territorial fights. Though the sweet boy was dearly loved by the residents who took turns feeding him, the roads had become a nightmare for Motu. In a short span of five days, he got into dog fights and was bitten twice after which his caretakers knew it wasn’t safe for him to remain on the streets alone.

They admitted him to a veterinary hospital in the city, which treated his wounds and stabilised his health. He was then surrendered to the VOSD Hospice for end-of-life care, without a surrender fee.

Over the past year, Motu has learned to thrive with the dogs & humans alike at VOSD. He absolutely loves being the center of attention and will gently nudge any other dog out of the way, if they try to get pets before him! This earned him the fond nickname – Don of VOSD!

Age had slowed this boy down though, and we began noticing that his joints were becoming weaker, for which he was started on the VOSD Joint Care Supplement. Now, he can run-up to his food bowl shoving all his competitors aside, and wallop two bowls at a time which even many younger dogs can’t do! Age is just a number, right?

We pray our dear Mr. Motu has many healthy, happy years ahead of him. While we’re doing our bit to care for and protect vulnerable, senior stray dogs like him, we hope you will join hands with us to care for many more such dogs.
